Stumbled upon a band called Rocket I’d not heard of yesterday. Spent a good while listening to it and then discovered they’re playing at Green Man festival in August, which I’ll be at. Feels like a nice win!
Lovely couple of days in Wales experiencing the full range of possible weather and drinking an awful lot of beer.
It’s 10:30pm and I’m sat outside drinking a beer in my garden. It’s only just going dark and it’s over 20°. Summer doesn’t last long here but my word when it hits it’s remarkable.

Pleasant. A little brand-heavy in places. There is no way there’s a Papa John’s in Iceland. Certainly tried very hard to be inspirational but I think maybe it falls a little flat. The Benjamin Button bit is outstanding though.

Made me laugh a few times with the catchphrases and some absurdity. Maybe a little convoluted for me, though. As ever with Wes’ films, set design is immaculate

Just relentless silly deaths. Cheeks hurt from laughing when I left the cinema. The opening scene was immaculate. I would’ve liked the whole film in that setting but great fun regardless.

Can’t believe I’d not watched this until now. Everything comes together here to make a story about an evil car make sense. Some unbelievable practical effects work throughout, had me gobsmacked. Loved it!
A lovely photo of Hebden Bridge train station in the sun a few weeks ago. Was on a nice boozing session and have just rediscovered the photo whilst flicking through my camera roll.
