Finished reading: The Mercy of Gods by James S. A. Corey π
Some great universe building here, really enjoyable novel and I’m looking forward to more!
Started using the Tapestry app these past few days and Iβm now obsessed with the idea of creating a connector for it. I just need to find something!

Genuinely thought theyβd cast Benicio Del Toro as old Leonardo Di Caprio for a moment. What a movie. Probably film of the year

When I get some time, I’m going to go through and make some changes to formalise my Microwave theme. I’ll upgrade my micro.blog subscription to Premium and make a proper page for it. I’ve a new theme on the way that’s β¦
Travels in Guatemala π¬πΉ
The next destination on our journey was Guatemala. This is by a long shot the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Sitting and watching volcanoes spit smoke whilst having breakfast is a very novel experience. With a lot of volcanoes comes a lot β¦
Next stop: Costa Rica π¨π·
Next on our travels was Costa Rica. We immediately became acquainted with the concept of Pura Vida and saw some of the most amazing wildlife I’ll likely ever get the chance to.
We saw a Green Sea Turtle crawl onto the beach and lay its eggs β¦
Today I discovered Concert Archives and now Iβm going to lose myself to filling in my concert history so I donβt need to try and remember anymore. I can feel a headache coming already
Iβve had the riff to this stuck in my head for some time now. Astonished to learn the band donβt really like this album, itβs one of my favourites.
Some friends came to see us in our room in the mountains outside Cuscoβ¦
Adventures in Peru π΅πͺ
Our big trip started with a couple of weeks in Peru. I really loved the time we spent there, it was non-stop action.
We started in Barranco, a small neighbourhood on the outskirts of Lima where we got a taste for Ceviche and local beer. We even β¦
Finished reading: The Long Walk by Stephen King π
This was a great read. Having watched the film first, thereβs some interesting differences. If you enjoyed the movie, youβll love the book.

Plane film #6: Lost my mind by this point. Loved the meta Julia Roberts thing and the Bruce cameo.
Movie Log πΏ: The Assessment, 2024 - β β β β
Plane Watch #3: Nice dramatic Sci-Fi. Thought it was well acted all round and the premise is right up my street.
Months/years of planning, more admin than you could imagine plus leaving our jobs has led us to this! Weβre off on adventure βοΈ

Man this film was good. What did it not have?
Movie Log πΏ: Get Hard, 2015 - β β Β½
Your classic Ferrell/McKay comedy. Not as good as the peaks of these movies but still drew some laughs
Movie Log πΏ: The Long Walk, 2025 - β β β β Β½
Pure bleakness, outstanding depth. The bluntness to the violence was excellent. Great film
Movie Log πΏ: The Running Man, 1987 - β β β
Truly a mental film. A nonstop hit parade of post-killing one liners.
Movie Log πΏ: Caught Stealing, 2025 - β β β β
Darren made a funny one!
Movie Log πΏ: The Roses, 2025 - β β β β
Hilarious! Completely unexpected, I barely stopped laughing throughout.
Had a great time at my first Green Man festival last weekend. Iβll definitely be going back next year! Nice to not have to walk miles a day compared to bigger festivals and there was non-stop music I was into. 10/10 experience
Movie Log πΏ: Weapons, 2025 - β β β β
Gripping and creepy in all the right measures.
Movie Log πΏ: Materialists, 2025 - β β β
Itβs no Past Lives but itβs still a very well made film.
